试卷: LEED v4 GA模拟题A卷[查看]
What is the primary reason that a LEED project can have higher development costs compared to conventional development?

A: Material costs rose
B: Green building goals were not set in the pre-design phase
C: New, green building technologies were used
D: Team members worked together instead of separately

参考答案: B

本题解释:
B:The primary reason that a green or LEED building would be more expensive is that the green building goals were considered an add-on after the design was completed. This approach does not involve an integrative process and usually results in a more expensive building.

The other primary reason is a lack of an integrative design team or team members not communicating and sharing responsibilities. When the left hand doesn\'t talk to the right hand, the process fails-or at least breaks down.

Value engineering some of the green building goals out might cut development costs, but will almost always result in higher operating costs. Consider the removal of an on-site wastewater treatment system, which will lead to lower upfront costs, but higher long-term operating costs.
A:This is not the primary reason.
C:While this can lead to higher costs, it is not the primary reason (based on research).
D:Integrative project teams reduce mistakes and construction costs.

I did not get it here. Compared to traditional design-construciton phase, the LEED project has already included the intergrative process, no? That is a huge difference between the conventional&LEED project. But here, the answer is in the perspective of the LEED or the conventional project?
