试卷: LEED AP ID+C 模拟试卷C[查看] Which product does not qualify towards rapidly renewable materials?
A: Bamboo flooring imported from China B: Concrete that contains with high-volume fly ash from a local power plant C: Linoleum flooring D: Wool carpet 参考答案: B
本题解释: Reference: Materials and Resources Credit, Rapidly Renewable Materials, Examples
Concrete made with fly-ash counts as a recycled material.
The bamboo flooring still counts as rapidly renewable even though it is manufactured far away (outside the 500 mile radius of regional materials). Don\'t get confused by combining credit requirements.
Also keep in mind if a portion of the material is rapidly renewable, such as a bamboo floor that has a pine plywood substrate, the portion of the product that is rapidly renewable will count towards the credit. In these cases the percent that does count is determined by the weight of the rapidly renewable material compared to the total weight of the product. Here is an example:
A desk is made of particle board from pine trees (non-rapidly renewable). The desk has bamboo veneers. The weight of the entire desk is 50 pounds. The weight of the bamboo veneers is 10 pounds, and the weight of the particle board is 40 pounds. The weight of the bamboo is 20% of the total desk weight. If the desk cost $100.00, the percent of rapidly renewable materials would be $20.00 (20%).
Linoleum is considered a rapidly renewable material.
