试卷: LEED AP ID+C 模拟试卷D[查看] An office space is being renovated for a new tenant. What housekeeping tasks must be completed to meet SMACNA requirements for the IAQ management plan during construction? A: Using wetting agents for dust B: Ventilate the construction area at least weekly with outside air C: Clean the project site at least every 24 hours when construction has taken place D: Store all porous building materials outside of the construction area until they are needed 参考答案: A

Using wetting agents for dust is recommended for housekeeping as well as using high efficiency particulate filters in vacuum cleaners.
A wetting agent lowers the surface tension of water to allow a cleaning solution to wet surfaces and penetrate into, under, and around soils and surface crevices.
You can think of a wetting agent as having one end of a molecule attracted to the surface while pulling the water solution towards the otherwise water-repelling surface, allowing the water solution to be in contact with more of the surface that needs to be cleaned. (Source Alconox)
Ventilating the construction area helps with Pathway Interruption, not Housekeeping.
While the project must be kept clean more frequently than normal, no specified time period (such as every 24 hours) is specified.
Porous building materials need to be stored and protected from moisture damage, but they do not have to be stored outside of the construction area. They should be kept where there are low humidity levels and protected from water. |
